Awards to Dunn County are made available by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and will be announced by a National Board that is chaired by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), with United Way Worldwide providing the administrative staff and functioning as fiscal agent. Dunn County has a local board made up of representatives from local affiliates of the National Board organizations, with the United Way of Dunn County providing the administrative staff.  The local board will determine how the funds awarded to that county will be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service organizations.
