Oval: Good news! WESTconsin Credit Union employees achieved a 65% participation rate in our current fundraising campaign! United Way of Dunn County works to provide solutions for issues that our communities face. We offer the community what no other entity, organization, governmental body, or institution can: a way for citizens to join with others to identify the human care issues that matter most, to develop a plan, and to get results. Simply put, it is helping people in Dunn County by making every contribution count.

We are committed to demonstrating why United Way is the best method to invest in the future of our community and positively impact the lives of children, adults, families, and the disabled. We are each a part of the United Way. Whether you are a donor, a volunteer, or someone who has received services through a United Way funded program, you are the United Way!

Check out this web site to learn more about volunteer opportunities, make a financial contribution, or learn more about the agencies we support and our funding process.

Our 2009-2010 campaign is underway. . .

with a goal of $450,000. Funds raised will help support more than 26 nonprofit agencies and programs that provide vital services to people right here in Dunn County.

Funds will also go to continuing and new projects that United Way collaborates with others in getting off the ground. In the past, such projects included the Free Clinic of the Menomonie Area, the 2-1-1 Information and Referral service, Oaklawn Harmony Center, Leadership Menomonie, the Dunn County Volunteer Home Repair Collaborative, and the Financial Stability Coalition of Dunn County.

            We operate several programs ourselves.

Our new C-3 Center is a free store that provides household items free of charge to financially fragile families and individuals in the county. We accept good, gently used furniture, appliances and household goods. Collaborating agencies refer those needing these items to the C-3 Center.

The FamilyWize prescription drug discount card we offer has saved county residents more than $35,000 in out-of-pocket drug expenses.

Our partnership with Home Depot’s Framing Hope program allows us to provide partner agencies with materials they can offer to their consumers free of charge. This program also provides necessary materials to the Volunteer Home Repair Collaborative, allowing them to help more people at lower cost.

United Way of Dunn County is only able to do all of these things because people in Dunn County have made it possible. By giving money and time, advocating for things that are important, and volunteering to lend a hand where it is needed most, people in Dunn County have demonstrated that they understand what it means to LIVE UNITED!

We invite you to join us in improving lives by donating to United Way of Dunn County’s 2009-2010 fundraising campaign.
